Shared Wish List

A wish list two people can run, not just look at. Add a co-owner, share one link, and neither of you ever sees who claimed what.

Why a shared wish list works better than one person managing it alone

Most wish list tools only really work for one admin. Everyone else gets a read-only link, and the one person in charge ends up fielding every update, every add, every question, on their own. That falls apart fast for a couple merging their lives, a family planning something together, or roommates who all want a say in what goes on a shared list. Hey Yoink lets you add a co-owner instead of just a viewer, so managing the list stops being one person's job.

It costs nothing either way, whether it's just you or you and a co-owner running it together.

A co-owner link with the same access as you, not a watered-down view

Generate a co-owner link from inside your list and share it with whoever you want managing it alongside you. They don't need to create an account, and they don't get some lesser, view-only version of the list: they get the exact same access you have, so they can add items, edit them, remove them, and share the guest link with others, the same as if it were their own list. Revoke a co-owner's access at any point and their link simply stops working, without touching anything they added.

The surprise stays a surprise, for both of you

Hey Yoink's core rule has always been that whoever manages a list never sees who claimed what, or whether anything's been claimed at all, so the actual surprise never leaks to the person it's for. Adding a second person managing the list doesn't change that rule, it just applies it twice: neither you nor your co-owner ever sees claim status on anything, on either of your screens. That's not a smaller version of the feature, it's the same guarantee extended to cover exactly as many people as are running the list.

Where a shared wish list actually helps

Couples building one list together for their own birthday or anniversary instead of keeping two separate ones. Siblings coordinating a parent's gift list without one of them becoming the sole point of contact. A friend group splitting admin duties for a group trip or shared occasion. Roommates keeping one running list for the apartment. Anywhere two people would otherwise be forwarding updates back and forth, a shared wish list just removes the forwarding entirely.

Set it up, add your co-owner, and run it together from one link.
